An unforgettable evening with a legendary trumpeter, direct from New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center
This October, Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis joins us for a powerful performance at the Tea House Theatre, Xiqu Centre, alongside Andrew Latona (guitar), Christopher Latona (drums) and Mikey Migliore (bass).
For over four decades, Faddis has captivated audiences worldwide with his virtuosity and wide-ranging musical talent. Headlining shows from Carnegie Hall, New York, to festivals in Europe and Asia, the protégé of Dizzy Gillespie stretches the limits of his instrument with high-register blasts and whispering lows, and with his phenomenal artistry and improvisational skills. A versatile and creative composer, Faddis is also known for the acclaimed jazz opera Lulu Noire, featured on his Grammy-nominated album Remembrances.
From powerful to laid-back, Jon Faddis’s tight-toned, complex style showcases sublime confidence, freedom and self-expression. Bring your friends and enjoy an extraordinary night of music!
Each ticket includes one complimentary drink. Drinks are also available for sale on the night at the venue.
This programme is co-presented by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong and WestK Performing Arts.
